Robert Morrison (1728-1810) and his wife, Sarah (1739-1816) and their descendants primarily in Cabarrus, Burke, Iredell, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg Counties, NC; Brown, Coryell, Hamilton, Harris, Matagorda, Travis, Walker, Wichita, and Young Counties, TX; Grenada, Hinds, Lafayette, Panola, and Yalobusha Counties, MS; Dallas County, AL; Coles County, IL; Benton, Boone, and Sebastian Counties, AR; Bedford and Lincoln Counties, TN; McDonald County, MO; Sandoval County, NM; Haskell and Muskogee Counties, OK; Jackson County, OR; Lehigh County, PA; Challam County, WA; and Polk County, FL. This book includes the ancestors of Mary Anna Morrison, wife of Gen. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson, and their descendants. At the time of publication, we had been advised that descendants of Robert and Sarah Morrison established the Town of Morrison, Tennessee. Subsequent research conducted by one of their descendants has disproved this. Janet and Marie regret this error in the book.
