Janet's first novel
Janet has written the manuscript for an historical novel with the working title, The Spanish Coin. Loosely-based on the life of Nancy Craighead, it is set along the border of North and South Carolina in 1771.
Rocky River Presbyterian Church Cemetery Photo Project
When Janet set out in 2005 to take a picture of and transcribe every grave stone in the various cemeteries owned Rocky River Presbyterian Church, she didn't know what she was getting into! The work continues….

Thomas Lee Dulin, our great-grandfather, was a veteran of The War Between the States and a lifelong farmer in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He kept a daybook from 1891 until his death in 1914.
Research for local history articles
Janet is constantly gathering information for future "Did You Know?" newspaper columns. Many topics overlap. For instance, as she reads the microfilmed minutes of the Cabarrus County Commission, she takes notes on a wide variety of topics.
